Terms of service
The conditions that apply to quoting, scheduling and performing clearance work.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to clearance services provided by Brisbane Hoarding Clearance Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”). They form part of any written quote or service agreement we issue. Specific terms in a signed quote override anything below where they conflict.
2. Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days. Fixed-fee quotes hold unless scope changes materially. Capped quotes hold up to the cap; additional work is scoped in writing before commencement.
3. Authority to work
You confirm you are authorised to instruct removal of contents from the property. For deceased estates this is typically the executor or appointed solicitor. For rental properties this is the owner or property manager.
4. Salvage and disposal
We work to the written salvage instruction agreed with you. Anything not flagged for retention is disposed of through the appropriate stream (donation, recycling, tip). Photographs of any unusual or valuable items are taken before disposal.
5. Insurance and limitation
We hold public liability, workers comp and goods-in-transit cover. Our liability is limited to our insurance cover, subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by contract.
6. Payment
Invoices are payable within the terms stated on the invoice (Net 7 individuals, Net 14 estates and businesses). Late payment may incur interest at the RBA cash rate plus 2%.
7. Cancellation
Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start may incur a callout fee equal to one crew-day, to compensate the crew for the lost day.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
