FAQ

The common questions.

Quoting, timing, discretion, salvage, disposal, insurance. If your question isn’t here, call or email.

Quoting and pricing

How do you price a job?
Per job, not per hour. Volume of contents, access, parking, tip distance and disposal mix all affect price. We quote fixed-fee or capped — you know the maximum before we start.
How long does a quote take?
24–48 hours from site assessment. Same-day quotes possible for straightforward rubbish removal and house clearance jobs after a photo walkthrough.
Is a quote free?
Yes. Site assessments and quotes are free and don’t commit you to anything.
Do you have a minimum job size?
Our smallest jobs are around a single ute load. Anything smaller is usually better handled by a council kerbside collection.

On the day

Do we need to be on site?
No. We work to a written keep-list and salvage instruction. Many clients engage us interstate or overseas — we send daily photo updates.
Will the neighbours see what’s going on?
Unmarked vehicles on request. Crew briefed on access, parking and any neighbours or strata to be aware of. We don’t discuss the contents of the home with anyone, on site or after.
What happens to valuable items?
Set aside in a labelled keep-zone before the crew works through. Documents, jewellery and small valuables consolidated into a single box. Items of obvious value flagged for your review.
What if you find something unexpected?
Stops the crew, gets photographed, escalates to you for instruction. Common with cash, firearms, prescription drugs, paperwork and items of sentimental note.

Disposal and recycling

Where does the rubbish go?
Council tip or transfer station for general waste. Recyclers for metals, e-waste and white goods. Charities for donatable goods. Licensed facilities for chemicals and biohazard waste. Dockets and receipts retained.
Do you recycle?
Where viable. We route metals, e-waste, white goods, batteries and clean recyclables to the appropriate facility regardless of which tip we use for the remainder.
What about donations?
Donatable household goods go to local charity bins or partner organisations. Receipts available on request for estate paperwork.

Compliance

Are you insured?
Public liability, workers comp and goods-in-transit cover. Certificates of currency available on request.
Are crew police-checked?
Yes. Police-checked, WHS-trained, briefed before each job.
Do you handle asbestos?
No — asbestos requires a licensed contractor. We identify it on assessment and coordinate a licensed removalist as part of the scope.
Do you handle biohazards?
Yes, under our squalor cleanup workflow. Animal waste, sharps, severe contamination and bodily-fluid jobs are run with PPE-equipped crew and disposed via licensed facilities.

Working with us

Can you work to a solicitor or executor?
Standard for our deceased estate work. Scope agreed in writing, invoice issued to the estate or appointed representative.
How do we pay?
Bank transfer. Invoice supplied within 48 hours of handover. Net 7 for individuals, net 14 for estates and businesses.
What if the job is bigger than expected?
We capped the quote in writing. If the scope changes materially — hidden contents, additional outbuildings, biohazard discovered — we stop, scope the change with you, and quote in writing before continuing.
